THE CHALLENGE

The call for the startup competition of the Social Football Summit is now open, marking its 6th edition this year.

Startups, innovative SMEs, SMEs established after January 1st, 2019, informal teams made up of at least three individuals (over 18 years old), holding at least a high school diploma or equivalent qualification, as well as spin-offs from university departments and research centers, are all eligible to submit innovative solution proposals in line with the objectives of the Call.

This year, the competition will feature a new format, structured in two halves—just like a football match—leading to a final round. During the competition, the eight selected startups will compete in the first half with a 4-minute pitch to progress to the next stage. In the second half, the four remaining startups will face a new challenge on a specific theme. Finally, the two finalist startups will have 3 minutes to present their “Future Pitch”.

The final phase will take place on November 19th at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, and the €5,000 prize will be awarded during the Social Football Summit gala evening.

Applications are open until October 31st.
