“Italy-England, derby of Europe”: at the Italian Embassy in London

On the run-up to the challenge with England in the qualification for Euro 2024. The match is scheduled for this evening at ‘Wembley’, an event was held this morning at the Italian Embassy, organised by the same and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom, under the patronage of Social Football Summit and Adicosp.

Ambassador Inigo Lambertini introduced the proceedings of ‘Italy-England, derby of Europe’, while Il Fatto Quotidiano journalist Stefano Boldrini and Massimiliano Vitelli, correspondent of the Sunday Post in Italy, coordinated the proceedings. Greetings were also given by Chamber of Commerce President and lawyer Alessandro Belluzzo.

During ‘Goals and glories, the art of football between Italy and England’, FIGC President Gabriele Gravina, Fabio Capello, Gianfranco Zola and footballer Angelo Ogbonna (now at West Ham) spoke. Then, for ‘The golden years of Serie A and the rise of the Premier League’, speakers included Alfonso Morrone and Alessandro Belluzzo, Rafaela Pimenta, Giuseppe Riso, Massimo Tucci, Fabio Poli, Davide Biondini, Valerio Giuffrida, Giovanni Branchini and Roberto De Fanti.

Massimo Tucci, director of Social Football Summit, showed the 6th edition of Social Football Summit and he conducted an analysis of what the Social Football Summit has achieved in these years, how it has been able to capture all the innovations related to the football industry, and how it has successfully brought together all stakeholders with the goal of growing the entire football product.

Organizational Director of AIC – Associazione Italiana Calciatori, Fabio Poli and former football player and AIC vice-president Davide Biondini showed the results of a study on what professional football players, both male and female, do several years after their careers have ended.
