SFS ExtraTime is an applied innovation program focused on football and the sports industry, promoted by Social Media Soccer and Theorema srl SB. With the 2026 edition, Extra evolves from a pitch competition into a structured and permanent platform that integrates scouting, training, experimentation, and market access. The program is built around three main pillars: an Innovation Tour across Italian universities to identify new talent and ideas from the research stage; a dual call targeting both university teams and established startups; and an Innovation Day during the Social Football Summit, serving as the program’s culmination with a pitch competition, thematic panels, and an exhibition area where innovators, companies, investors, and clubs come together.

The SFS Awards celebrate excellence in the football industry, recognizing clubs, companies, and professionals for innovation, sustainability, creativity, and positive impact. For the first time, some awards are open to direct applications via a digital platform, giving startups, innovative projects, and emerging talents the opportunity to showcase their initiatives and prove their value in the football industry. The awards ceremony takes place during an exclusive Gala Dinner, offering a unique networking opportunity among VIPs, institutional figures, partners, finalists, and winners, and reinforcing the SFS Awards as a reference point for innovation and excellence in football.
